What we do!
TayLins Junior Kindergarten Program is a Reggio play-based educational experience designed for children aged 30 months to 5 years, following the traditional school year calendar. Operating from 9am to 2pm, this program provides a structured yet flexible environment where children can engage in meaningful play that fosters learning and development. The curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to align with the developmental stages of young learners, offering a rich blend of activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. The classroom setting is vibrant and inviting, equipped with materials and resources that encourage exploration and discovery. Children are provided with opportunities to engage in imaginative play, creative arts, and early literacy and numeracy activities, promoting a well-rounded educational experience.
Educators in the Junior Kindergarten Program are dedicated to nurturing each child's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They facilitate play that challenges and captivates, encouraging children to think critically and solve problems. By incorporating storytelling, music, and movement, educators support language development and self-expression. They also foster social skills through group activities and collaborative play, helping children build friendships and learn to work together. Partnerships with families are integral to the program, with regular communication ensuring that each child’s needs are met and learning is supported at home. Note* Our 1/2 day program runs 9-2pm 12 months of the year and does not follow the school district closures
