Philosophy

We believe that guidance should be done in a positive, gentle way to maintain a child’s sense of self-esteem. We recognize that children are unique and special and that they have specific needs and considerations. The goal is for children to become self-disciplined so that they are aware of ways to handle different emotions and situations. We strive to provide a fun, rich environment that is constantly changing. We believe that a strong parent/teacher/child relationship is very important in the success for everyone. Communication is always open.

What is Reggio Emilia learning?

The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy and pedagogy. This approach is a student-centered

and constructivist self-guided curriculum that uses self-directed,

experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery and play

What is Play based learning?

Learning through play is a term used in education and psychology to describe how a child can learn to make sense of the world around them. Through play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Key ways that young children learn include playing, being with other people, being active, exploring and new experiences, talking to themselves, communication with others, meeting physical and mental challenges, being shown how to do new things, practicing and repeating skills and having fun.

About Taylin Childcare

Hello! My name is Caylee, and I am the founder of Taylin Childcare, established in March 2020. With over 15 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education, along with specialized certifications in Infant Toddler care and Special Needs support. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of childcare settings with diverse learning approaches, all of which have shaped my philosophy and passion for early childhood development.

The name “Taylin” was inspired by my two children, Taylor and Linden, who continue to be my greatest inspiration.

Before opening my childcare center, I owned and operated Taylin Threads, a children’s clothing line. While that business was a rewarding creative journey, I chose to close it in order to fully focus on my long-term goal of building inclusive, high-quality licensed childcare centers.

At Taylin Childcare, providing exceptional care begins with a strong, dedicated team. Hiring qualified educators is a top priority, and each team member undergoes a thorough training process while continuing their professional development throughout their time with us. We regularly participate in workshops and conferences to stay current with the ever-evolving field of childcare.

I strongly believe that every child is unique, with their own learning style and individual needs. Creating a loving, nurturing, and calm environment allows children to feel safe and supported as they grow. Building meaningful relationships, setting clear and consistent boundaries, validating emotions, and fostering a true sense of belonging are at the heart of everything we do.
